Swayam orgainsed a 15-day Summer Training camp for all the Divyang children of Thane city. The camp was held at Late Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde Hall in Thane. The camp concentrated on overall development and bringing to forth the hidden artistic talent of these kids under the able guidance of senior artists from the field. The camp received good response from the children of special schools as well as children not studying in these schools. Children were divided in various age groups depending upon their abilities and the groups were given names of flowers. The camp was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Eknathji Shinde who painted and signed on the canvass. He gave his best wishes to the children for the camp.
During the 15-day camp starting 1st to 15th May 2022 –
Activities like Canvass painting, Earthen Vase painting, Acrylic painting, Preparing marble paper using oil paints, making envelopes of these marble papers, pottery painting, wall painting, painting piggy banks of various sizes, spray painting and decoration with shiny stones were carried out under the able of guidance of artist Mr. Sadashiv Kulkarni. Children loved doing all the activities. Later, they sang many songs and danced and enjoyed the camp.
During these 15 days, children enacted and played with the colours. On the closing day of the camp Chief minister Mr. Eknathji Shinde distributed participation certificates to all the participants. Children and their parents had delicious lunch together at the camp and danced together.
