For the past 15 years, the organization Swayam has been giving scope to the different talents inherent in children with disabilities and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. A special activity was conducted by the organization for children. With the help of renowned artists from Maharashtra, the children painted pictures in various attractive colours on large canvases. While painting these pictures, a distinct joy of the new experience was seen on the faces of the children. Children thoroughly enjoyed splashing colours on the canvas.
On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Swayam organized an eight-day grand exhibition of paintings drawn by children with disabilities along with the artworks and paintings of many well-known painters of Maharashtra at the Kala Bhavan Art Gallery in Majiwada, Thane. People from Mumbai, Thane and outside Thane responded spontaneously to the artworks of children in this grand exhibition. All these art lovers of the Thane-Mumbai area appreciated Swayam's artists and their talent and encouraged and wished them wholeheartedly.
