Swayam institute had organised ‘Urja 2019’ a talent show for Divyang Children in Thane area to promote the talent of the Divyang Children. Most of the students from ‘Special Schools’ in the Thane area participated in the event. Singing, Group songs, Dance, Group Dance, playing musical instruments were included in this show. Preliminary round was held at Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane on August 31, 2019. Dignitaries from various fields of arts attended this show as Juries to select the artistes for the final round from this preliminary round.

Final round was held on September 14, 2019 between 4pm to 7.30 pm at Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane where all the artistes selected for the final performed on the stage. Famous actress and anchor Dipti Bhagwat did the anchoring of the event. Hearing and Speech impaired children along with children with dyslexia and other special children performed dances, group dances wearing beautiful attires on the tunes of various songs spontaneously while autistic children performed in singing and group singing competitions. The whole atmosphere was different in Gadkari Rangayatan with the enthusiasm and energy of the students who performed during the event. Winning schools and children were felicitated with mementos.
